Blinds and curtains can only do so much when preventing too much sunlight from entering your home. Roller shades can either darken a room or filter sunlight to where just the right amount of light comes into the home.

If you are interested in roller shades that can darken a room with its darker shades, or filter the light of a room with its lighter shades, you'll get a lot of value out of Chicology's roller shades. Roller shades aren't just for darkening or providing a light filter. Sometimes you might need a roller shade to block out the sun entirely on your porch.

Being 6 by 6 feet, hanging this outside of your porch will prevent the interior of your home by being blasted by the sun's rays when you do not it to be. If your home is in a wide open space where the sunlight is too overwhelming even for darkening window shades, consider Keystone's sun shade.
Keystone's roller shade installs on the outside of the windows in your home, which is a good thing if you have a lot going on inside the home. If you have pets who like to get curious and climb up curtains, you'll benefit from Keystone's roller shade.

Also, Keystone's roller shade is bound by a cord. This can make rolling it up pretty troublesome and inconvenient.
There are two things that are in demand when it comes to larger roller shades that are designed to be installed outside. These things are UV protection and safe and hassle free operation. A lot of roller shades such as Coolaroo's are bound by a cord which can make them difficult to use, and they are also not dark enough to provide optimal UV protection.
Coolaroo's roller shade solves both of these issues. The shades offer up to 90% UV protection, which is very useful for homes that are exposed to a more than normal amount of sunlight. Install Coolaroo's roller shade outside and you will not be disappointed with how much sunlight it protects from. It is also cordless, making it much easier to operate.
